Retroactively Effective to January 1, 2019
    Posted July 8, 2019

After hearing from members, the Trustees are pleased to announce that there have been improvements made to the limited dental program that began January 1, 2019.

The Limited Dental Program will no longer differentiate between cleanings or other dental procedures. The $250 per calendar-year benefit is available for members and each of their covered dependents to use for almost any dental expense. The only exclusion is orthodontia. It still covers cleanings, x-rays and exams, but can be used for many other procedures as well. As before, there is no dental network and you can choose any dentist you like.

    Designating a Beneficiary
    Posted July 8, 2019

It is very important to have a beneficiary designation! Your beneficiary is the person, persons or legal entity (such as your estate) that you designate to receive any Plan benefits you are eligible for in the event of your death.

To designate a beneficiary, you need to complete a beneficiary designation form and submit to the Fund Office. Remember, it is important to list both a primary and contingent (secondary) beneficiary when completing the forms. You may change your beneficiary at any time by filing a new beneficiary designation form with the Fund Office. Any change in your designation is not effective until it is received by the Fund Office.

You can also contact the fund office to request a beneficiary form be mailed to your home,
